Infrastructure

The Core has a SAN architecture with nearly 4 TBs of storage and the ability to add additional storage with ease. Two SUN Fire V440 servers are the backbone for the UNC Microarray Database application. Two Linux servers currently are used for Clinical database applications and one linux server is currently the compute node. We are in the process of adding computational nodes and file server nodes. A Quantum PX502 tape library backs up and archives these systems. The Core works closely with UNC-CH ITS Research Computing and helps LCCC researchers use the computational, mass storage, and software they provide.
